Chicago (July 24, 2001) – The Profit Sharing/401(k) Council of America (PSCA) is pleased to announce that Ann Combs, newly appointed Assistant Secretary of Labor, Pension and Welfare Benefits Administration, will discuss her agency’s outlook and priorities for employer provided retirement plans at its 54th National Conference to be held September 12-14, 2001 in Scottsdale, Arizona. In addition, the focus of this year’s conference will be on practical solutions for the implementation of HR 1836, the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001. "PSCA was a key player in the content and passage of this exciting new law and they will be the go-to source for plan sponsors in implementing it" says Timothy Hoppe, Retirement Plans Manager, Longs Drug Stores Inc. This year’s three day conference will also present new research and survey data, fiduciary strategies to avoid litigation, managing IRS and DOL audits, investment policy statements avoiding multi-language roadblocks, asset allocation for reluctant investors, paperless administration and over 20 other defined contribution plan related topics. |
