PSCA RELEASES SURVEY OF DEFINED CONTRIBUTION PLAN PARTICIPANT STATEMENTS

New mini-survey investigates plan sponsor sentiments about participant statements

CHICAGO (JUNE 1, 2005) - PSCA has released its newest mini-survey, Defined Contribution Plan Participant Statements 2005, which investigates plan sponsors’ sentiments and experience with their participant statements. This survey reports a variety of data useful to service providers as well as plan sponsors. Data was collected online from 433 plan sponsor companies.

Data reported includes:

• Plan sponsor satisfaction with participant statements
• Items desired on first page of statement
• Helpfulness of various statement components
• Level of detail
• Frequency and length of statements
• Inclusion of personal investment performance data
• Participant behaviors resulting from personal performance data on statement
• Savings projections
• Participant behaviors resulting from savings projections on statement
