CHICAGO (October 30, 2003) - The Profit Sharing/401(k) Council of America (PSCA) today announced that seven business leaders with decades of employee benefit leadership have been elected to the PSCA Board of Directors. The seven men and women were voted in during the PSCA annual meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona on September 7th. "We are very excited to allow the wealth of experience of these seven professionals to help guide PSCA in our mission to increase the retirement security of millions of Americans through defined contribution programs like profit sharing and 401(k) plans," said PSCA President David Wray. The seven new elected members are: Vivian Garza-Steele is the Retirement Plan Administrator at Zachry Construction Corporation in San Antonio, Texas. Garza-Steele is responsible for the administration and compliance of the company’s two defined contribution plans for approximately 9,500 participants and has more than 12 years industry experience. Elaine Kalin is the Director of Retirement Communications at Science Applications International Corporation of San Diego, California, in charge of all qualified and non-qualified retirement programs for more than 40,000 employees. Kailin’s 20 years of experience in the employee benefits and tax fields includes all phases of retirement plan design, implementation and administration. Al Leighton has been with Marian, Inc in Indianapolis, Indiana for 38 years. As Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer he is responsible for the firm’s 32 year-old profit sharing plan. Lew Minsky is a Senior Attorney for Florida Power & Light Company of Juno Beach, Florida and its parent company FPL Group, primarily responsible for the legal issues relating to FPL's employee benefit plans. Minsky has more than a decade of industry experience and also serves as the HIPAA Privacy Official for the FPL health and welfare plans. Anna Rappaport, an actuary and futurist with 40 years’ experience, is a worldwide partner and Principal in the Chicago, Illinois office of Mercer Human Resource Consulting where she consults with major clients on benefits strategy and human resources issues. Allan TeRonde is the Director of Employee Benefits for Tooling & Manufacturing Association, (TMA), Park Ridge, Illinois and has more than 35 years benefits industry experience. He administrates a 734 small company group health insurance plan, is staff liaison to the Government Relations Committee and staff manager for a number of employee benefit and insurance related products and services. A member of the PSCA Board of Directors from 1993-2002 –including Chairman in 1999 and 2000 – TeRonde also is a member of PSCA’s Legislative Committee and the National Conference Planning Committee. Della Wall is Vice President of Human Resources for the Kroger Co of Cincinnati, Ohio. In her 32 years with Kroger, Wall has served as Vice President of Compensation & Benefits, Vice President of Deferred Benefits, Director of Corporate Benefits and Manager of Compensation & Benefits for the Manufacturing Division. |
