403(b) Plan Survey Results Show That Plan Sponsors' Work is Paying Off

Do you sometimes feel that you are unappreciated? That the work that you do every day is seldom noticed and your efforts are not making a real impact? Sadly, this feeling is shared by many plan sponsors who have worked tirelessly for the past decades to get people to join their retirement savings plans.   

Well, I have some good news. Based upon our recent surveys, your efforts are paying off. More people are saving more money in their employer-sponsored retirement plans, and this trend is a positive indicator that “they get it.” Our most recent survey of 403(b) plans mirrored our 2012 survey of profit sharing and 401(k) plans – more people are participating and at higher levels.  And, they are not abusing loans or hardship withdrawals. 

The respondents to the survey reflect the continued growth of appreciation for the 403(b) plan as an important cornerstone of a well-planned, long-term retirement strategy.
