PSCA's Towarnicky to Testify at ERISA Advisory Committee

Jack Towarnicky, PSCA Executive Director, will testify before the ERISA Advisory Council of the Employee Benefit Security Administration at the Department of Labor on June 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Towarnicky will focus his comments on plan sponsor needs and concerns with respect to retirement income.  The 2018 ERISA Advisory Council’s topic is titled:  “Lifetime Income Solutions as a Qualified Default Investment Alternative (QDIA) – Focus on Decumulation and Rollover.”  Jack will highlight PSCA policy positions regarding mandates – in terms of payout options and required disclosures.  He will also share a few innovative opportunities the DOL may wish to consider in its efforts to facilitate retirement income solutions.    

The ERISA Advisory Council (formally the Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefits Plans) advises the Secretary of the Department of Labor and submits recommendations regarding the Secretary's functions under ERISA. The council usually consists of 15 members appointed by the Secretary of Labor. More information and the official notice of the meeting can be found here.
