What’s New With 403(b) Plan Designs?

The Plan Sponsor Council of America (PSCA), part of the American Retirement Association (ARA), is giving retirement plan sponsors at nonprofit organizations an opportunity to participate in, and receive benchmarking data from, its annual 403(b) Benchmarking Survey.

The survey, sponsored by Principal Financial Group®, is designed to provide benchmarking data on 403(b) plans including deferral levels, plan features, investment options, and other information to help plan sponsors evaluate their own plans. The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 10.

Last year’s survey, the tenth annual, found that organizations that sponsor 403(b) plans are accelerating adoption of plan automatic features, and confirmed that more organizations are working with advisors, among other significant trends.

“This year marks the beginning of the second decade of this survey,” said Hattie Greenan, director of research and communications at PSCA. “The survey provides valuable insights and benchmarking information to nonprofits and educational institutions who offer a qualified retirement plan.”

All survey respondents will receive a free copy of the report, a $595 value, as well as complimentary access to a webinar discussing the impact of the data on plan design. To participate in the 2019 403(b) Plan Survey click here.

Plan advisors and providers who successfully refer clients to the survey will also receive a free copy of the results. To obtain a sample customized e-mail to extend that opportunity to plan sponsor clients or prospect, or for other questions, contact PSCA at [email protected].
