PSCA Celebrates Independence

07/01/2015

This Saturday, July 4th our Nation observes the passing of another year of Independence.

Images of American flags, fireworks, parades, and family barbeques – symbols that bind us to our Nation’s past, present, and future – will be abundant.

As we reflect on the gift of Independence, it is important to consider the following excerpt from the United States Constitution:

“We hold these truths to be sacred and undeniable; that all men are created equal and independent, that from that equal creation they
derive rights inherent and inalienable, among which are the preservation of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

In such hallowed words, those who are committed to helping their neighbors save, invest, and protect for a better future must embrace their shared purpose.

Sponsors, providers, advisors, reporters, legislators and regulators – regardless of beliefs, practices, politics, or position – must set policy disagreements aside, and revel in the freedom and responsibility our forbearers bestowed on us to help free people make their own decisions, govern themselves, and relish the liberty to forge their own path.

As we observe another year of Independence, remember that which binds us.
