PSCA's 55th Annual Survey reports on the 2011 plan-year experience of 840 companies with 10.3 million participants and $753 billion in plan assets. 

2011

401(k) Plan Response to Current Conditions
In October 2011, PSCA conducted a snapshot survey of 401(k) and profit sharing plan sponsors to determine how they are responding to multiple changes in today’s economic and regulatory environment. PSCA received responses from 523 plan sponsors from across the country.

PSCA's 54th Annual Survey of Profit Sharing and 401(k) Plans reports on the 2010 plan-year experience of 820 companies with 10.5 million participants and $691 billion in plan assets.

2011 Non-Qualified Plan Survey
PSCA partnered with Boston Research Group to conduct a survey on non-qualified plans. This is the first survey of its kind and provides information on types of non-qualified plans, plan design features, as well as eligibility and participation rates.

2010

PSCA’s 53rd Annual Survey of Profit Sharing and 401(k) Plans
PSCA’s Annual Survey documents the 2009 plan year experience of 931 plans with 8.6 million participants and $628 billion in plan assets.

Retirement Income Guarantee Products Snapshot Survey
PSCA conducted a snapshot survey of plan sponsors in March 2010 to determine their views on retirement income products. We received 543 responses from plan sponsors of varying sizes and industries.

PSCA’s 2010 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan Eligibility Survey
PSCA’s annual eligibility survey reflects responses from 529 companies that sponsor a defined contribution plan.

401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan Response to Current Conditions Snapshot Survey
In October 2010, PSCA conducted a survey of 401(k) and profit sharing plan sponsors to determine how they are responding to current economic and regulatory changes. PSCA received 531 responses from plan sponsors across the country. The majority of plan sponsors and participants continued making contributions to their defined contribution plan.

2009

52nd Annual Survey of Profit Sharing and 401(k) Plans
PSCA’s Annual Survey documents the 2008 plan year experience of more than 900 plans with 7.4 million participants and $600 billion in plan assets.

401(k) Target-Date Snapshot Survey
PSCA received 397 responses from plan sponsors to our target-date survey conducted in April 2009. 54.8 percent of responding companies have more than 1,000 participants.

Impact of Economic Conditions on 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plans Snapshot Survey
With the economic downturn of 2008 and 2009, there has been a focus on changes employers have made to their defined contribution plans. In October 2009, PSCA conducted a survey of 401(k) and profit sharing plan sponsors to determine exactly what impact the economic conditions had on defined contribution plans, what actions plan sponsors have taken to cope with economic conditions, and plans for 2010.

In the fall of 2009, the Profit Sharing/401k Council of America (PSCA) collected defined contribution plan eligibility data from 494 companies.
