A View from the Road: Omaha City Event Symposium

On April 23, PSCA led a City Event Symposium in Omaha, Nebraska. 

26 Representatives from 21 organizations attended the event; held at the headquarters of Kutak Rock, LLP, a national legal practice with offices in 17 cities and a nationally-renowned ERISA practice. 

Plan Sponsor attendees gained valuable insight from presenters, panelists and other attendees, as presenters and panelists addressed timely and relevant topics.

• John Schembari, Managing Partner with Kutak Rock LLP, provided a legal and legislative update, and shared insight into common plan governance practices 
• Jim Ambrose and Matt Rehberg, financial consultants with Merrill Lynch, provided eye-opening insight into studies about the cost of retiring and the impact on participants * Jason Smith, consultant with SageView Advisory Group, provided excellent insight into the types of strategies plan sponsors are implementing to maintain effective, compliant plans
• Andrea Wright, Johnson Lambert LLP, helped attendees understand best practices and common pitfalls associated with plan audits 
• Chris Costello, CEO, Blooom, Inc., offered a fresh perspective on how employers could provide cost-effective, custom portfolio management to individuals, so they have a better chance at a comfortable retirement
