2022 HSA Limits Announced
The IRS has announced the 2022 contribution limits for health savings accounts (HSAs). The trend of a $50 increase per year for single coverage and a $100 per year increase for family coverage continues.
The annual contribution limit for single coverage will increase from $3,600 to $3,650; the limit for family coverage increases from $7,200 to $7,300 for 2022. The catch-up contribution amount for employees aged 55 or older remains the same as in 2021 – $1,000.
The out-of-pocket limit for single coverage will go from $7,000 to $7,050 and from $14,000 to $14,100 for family coverage.
