PSCA Engages Groom Law Group to Enhance its Washington, DC Lobbying Presence

The Plan Sponsor Council of America announced today that it has engaged Washington, DC-based Groom Law Group, Chartered, to provide lobbying services for the organization. Independent lobbying on behalf of plan sponsors and participants is a long-standing cornerstone among PSCA’s services to its members. Groom Law Group is the largest employee benefits specialty law firm in the country and employs subject matter experts including former senior officials from the Department of Labor, the Treasury Department, the Internal Revenue Service, the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation and Congress.

“Groom Law Group brings deep experience and is the leading firm in the retirement plan space in Washington,” said Stephen McCaffrey, PSCA’s Chairman of the Board of Directors and Legal & Legislative Committee. “Groom understands the plight and priorities of America’s plan sponsors and will help PSCA advance the interest of its members and the entire US retirement community in Washington and across the country. PSCA has significant legislative and regulatory goals, and we believe Groom Law Group will be instrumental in helping us move that agenda forward.”

“PSCA is grateful to have had the service of Rich McHugh in the role of Vice President of Washington Affairs,” said Marjorie Mann, PSCA’s 2nd Vice Chairperson and Vice Chair of its prestigious Legal & Legislative Committee. “We are thankful for Rich’s contributions to PSCA. As both a long-standing member and colleague, Rich worked to continue our mission to be the voice of the plan sponsor.”

Today is McHugh’s last day with the organization.
